Protein chocolate cake served within an hour

This chocolate cake is really easy to make, and contains great macro nutrients to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I made this one with whey protein to give the cake a great taste and add some extra protein to it. You can get whey protein in many other flavours, so you can always use another flavour to keep it interesting. This cake is really great to use as snack in-between work or while travelling. You can also make slices of the cake and put them in small bags in the freezer to take them with you later on.

Macro nutrients of this meal are:

The ingredients you need:

  • 300g French low fat quark
  • 115g Banana (1 normal size banana)
  • 4 Egg whites
  • 40g fine oats (Brinta in the Netherlands)
  • 50g Whey protein chocolate
  • 1 tea spoon cinnamon
  • 2 tea spoons baking powder
  • 1 Cake mold
  • Optional: fruits, nuts etc. you can add into the cake.

How to cook:

  1. Pre heat the air oven on 180 degrees celcius
  2. Put all the ingredients for this recipe in a blender and mix it up (you can also add some fruit before or after you blend everything up, to give it a fruity taste to it.
  3. Take a cake mold and some olive oil or any kind of natural oil to make the mold a bit fat from the inside. That’s for that the cake will not stick to the mold after cooking the cake up.
  4. Put the whole mixture from the blender in the mold.
  5. Put the mold in the heated oven for about 35 minutes.
  6. Once it’s done let it cool down for a few minutes.
  7. Now you can get it out of the mold easily and it will not stick to the mold.
  8. Let it rest for a few more minutes and you can make slices and enjoy this delicious cake.

Enjoy your cake and don’t eat it all in once. It is so good but you can definetly put it in the freezer as a better option. Also so you can enjoy your cake more than once.
